Yavapai Silent Witness Joins with Phoenix Silent Witness on 2 Cold Cases Featured

Yavapai County “Cold Cases”

Yavapai Silent Witness has joined forces with Phoenix Silent Witness in hopes of solving 2 unsolved double homicides.

On April 23, 1999 the bodies of 20-year-old Rebecca Rubalcava and 39-year-old William Rodriguez were discovered in the area of the Joshua Tree Forest on Hwy 93 between Wickenburg and Kingman in Yavapai County. Both victims had been shot in the head execution style. Both of the victims had lived in the area of 17th Avenue and Buckeye Road in Phoenix prior to their murders.

On Friday, October 17, 2003 the bodies of 20-year-old Brandon Rumbaugh and 19-year-old Lisa Gurrieri were found in the bed of a white Ford pick-up truck that was parked off of the Bumble Bee Road just off of Interstate 17 in Yavapai County. Both of the victims had been shot multiple times while in their sleeping bags. Both of these victims also lived in the Phoenix area.

From the beginning Yavapai Silent Witness has offered cash rewards for information but none of the tips have helped in solving the crimes. The first case that will be sent to Phoenix will be the Rumbaugh/Gurrieri case and a $10,000.00 cash reward will be offered.

Phoenix Silent Witness will be using television, radio and billboards to advertise these homicides.

Tipsters may call 1-800-932-3232 with any information and they never have to give their names.
